This is my first serious attempt at non bullshittery poetry in a number of months. Feedback would be appreciated. :)
Green Planet
Beyond the gaze of human eyes
The Green Planet in the heavens lie.
No coal is burnt, and no atoms are split
The inhabitants cherish nature, not exploit it.
Oh how beautiful is the Green Planet
With mountains of emerald granite
And the most dazzling chartreusian seas
Green leaves fly in the cooling breeze.
‘Twas nature not divine creation that created such a place.
Formed by the Canabi star
The Green Planet floats in space
No religion was written and no laws were passed.
Nations live together needing no system of caste.
Were we like the Green Planet no woe would be felt
On the path we are taking our green planet will melt
To be like the Green Planet it is never too late
But we must act now or we seal our fate
